Swedish ad showing menstrual napkin belt

A Swedish print advertisement from the 1970s shows a boldness never seen in American advertising for menstrual products, or in most other countries (but see a Dutch ad). Even today, with an advertisement (for shoes!) in mainstream American women's magazines showing a TV actress sitting on a toilet, panties below her knees, obviously ready to perform a bodily function, I doubt that something like the above would appear in mainstream print in America.

(See mannequins with a traditional belt and pad and a modern one. See Dutch ads for Stayfree panty pads showing women wearing belts, 1972, 1973. And see an American belt from 1945)
