Rip the paper
off and the
cardboard
instrument
reveals itself.
The inner
tube, the
plunger,
has a groove
that might make
up for a
less-than-perfect
fit but also
keeps it tight
against the
outer tube &
at the same time
possibly reduces
sticking. BUT
the tampon I
show here WAS
stuck and
wouldn't budge,
an awful spot
for a woman to
be in. But maybe
that was just
the age
of the 'pon. At
least she didn't
have to figure
out how to put
the damned
thing
together.
The string
really IS pink.
The whole
thing is 4
11/16" long.

Test! The
envelope - er, picture -

The tubes,
probably paper,
do not dissolve
in the sense
that sugar
dissolves but break up into smaller, flexible, soggy pieces of intact
paper within
1-2 minutes
and don't
deteriorate
further after
6 hours.
And two weeks
later they're
still whole. In
English, the
translation of
"ils se
dissolvent"
might be best disintegrate.
I guess it
wasn't that
exciting after
all.
