Meds endured more than one
incarnation and ultimately failed
(example).
From the typography and text it
seems to me that this version
stemmed from the 1940s-1950s.
Tampax was maybe the first to
introduce "junior"
tampons
by this name.

cardboard
box (it arrived that way)
measures 5 1/4 x 2 3/4 x 1" (13.5
x 7 x 2.54 cm).
What?! When I saw
"IC495," which came on the box
from Procter & Gamble, I first
thought of "Index
Catalog" of Dreyer's "New General
Catalog of Nebulæ and
Clusters of Stars"
(1895). IC495 referred to a "very
faint, very small" object M.
Javelle
spotted with the "great equatorial
[telescope] of 30 inches aperture
at the Nice [France] Observatory"
in the
constellation Camelopardalis (at
least today - I think).
Silly me. As
a kid I was an astronomy geek.
I have no idea what this IC495
means.
